SENIOR MARKETING COORDINATOR

The Senior Marketing Coordinator role is a senior-level position within Ross Group’s dynamic Marketing Department. You will report to the Marketing Director and work closely with the Marketing team and interact with other internal departments. In this role you will also mentor less experienced team members. As someone who works well in a team and takes pride in helping a company grow, your primary responsibilities will include the development, production, and quality control of compelling and creative proposals and other materials for the private, commercial, and federal market sectors that Ross Group serves.

In this role you will…

  • Write persuasive and often lengthy proposal and qualification packages that require developing specific, applicable new content in lieu of using existing content, reviewing for continuity, logic, message, and impact.
  • Review work of team members prior to submission, providing quality control for proposal and qualification packages, reviewing for continuity, logic, message, and impact.
  • Provide insight and direction to junior team members.
  • Analyze potential leads for viability as assigned by the Marketing Manager/Director.
  • Collect, assemble, and maintain accurate project/company information in both the content library and CRM database to produce requested information as needed.
  • Create marketing collateral, such as brochures, capability statements, case studies, blog content, resumes, project descriptions, and other narrative information.
  • Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, selects style and size of type, and arranges layout based upon available space, knowledge of layout principles, and aesthetic design concepts.
  • Work with the Marketing team to develop social media and website strategy and content and with other internal team members to produce content.
  • Work well under short deadlines, maintaining good time management skills to balance workload and ensure deliverables are produced on time with adequate time for thorough review.
  • Assist with the execution of day-to-day marketing projects while supporting Marketing’s long-term goals.
  • Provide additional department support as needed or assigned.

As the ideal candidate you…

  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, communications, advertising, or a related field.
  • Five to ten years of experience creating proposal and qualification packages, leading the charge in writing, layout, and production of high-quality, customized, and complex proposal documents.
  • Strong technical writing skills including command of tone, mechanics, and grammar.
  • The ability to work collaboratively and/or independently on assignments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and positively with internal teams and external partners.
  • A strong work ethic and sense of teamwork.
  • Exceptional proofreading and editing skills.
  • Strong technical writing skills including command of tone, mechanics, and gramma
  • Ability to build cohesive documents using information from multiple resources.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe InDesign programs (more than two years of consistent use is strongly preferred).
  • A great sense of visual style (experience with layout and graphic design is strongly preferred).
  • An ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • APMP, CPSM, or similar certification a plus.

Physical requirements include:

  • Ability to work extended hours when necessary to accomplish project goals.
  • Occasional travel to other office locations, project sites, or trade shows.
  • Ability to operate a computer, telephone, and other commonly used business-related items.
