ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST
In this position, you will input and maintain accounts payable system using the internal financial system.
In this role you will…
- Assemble, review and verify subcontractor invoices and vouchers
- Prepare and perform check runs
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
- Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
- Maintain accurate historical records
- Maintain confidentiality of organizational information
- Develop, implement and maintain systems, procedures and policies, including accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines
- Process approved payments accurately and in a timely manner
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal departments
- Maintain accurate vendor records and review and reconcile vendor statements
- File, scan, and index into company imaging software
- Communicate with the project management, office and field staff to get approval of invoices
- Deliver a high level of customer service to departments and peers by providing accurate and timely information
As the ideal candidate you have…
- An associate degree in accounting or equivalent work experience required.
- Good basic math skills.
- The ability to reconcile billings.
- Good customer service skills and professional phone skills.
- Strong organization and time management skills.
- The ability to work independently with little supervision.
